Christmas gifts for people who don’t drink

Quick answer

The best gift for someone who doesn’t drink is a grown-up drink that isn’t alcohol, so they’re not left with a glass of squash at Christmas. A 12-can Little Rick Mix Pack (£33.00) gives them all four flavours of our sparkling CBD drink, with no alcohol. For smaller budgets, pair a few cans with fresh mint and limes as a mocktail kit, or pick up our Little Rick coaster for £7.99.

Who it suits

When we asked 50 of our UK customers who else in their life would love Little Rick, 60% said friends who don’t drink and 52% said friends who are cutting back. It suits:

  • Friends who have stopped drinking and are tired of being handed lemonade.
  • Anyone doing Dry January who wants something to look forward to on the sofa.
  • Drivers at Christmas parties.
  • Wine-lovers who want a few nights off.

Make it a mocktail kit

Put four cans in a box with a bunch of mint, two limes, a jar of pomegranate seeds and a printed recipe. Mint & Lime makes a mojito-style “Nojito”; Piña makes a coconut-and-pineapple cooler. All the recipes are on our CBD mocktail recipes page. Want to go bigger? Our Journal has a guide to building a CBD gift hamper.

Before you gift CBD

Little Rick contains 32mg of CBD per can. The FSA advises healthy adults to limit CBD from food to 10mg a day, and doesn’t recommend CBD, unless under medical direction, for anyone under 18, taking medication, trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding. If your person is in one of those groups, a non-CBD gift is the kinder choice. More on the rules in Is CBD legal in the UK?
